Calyber Labs

Privacy Policy

Effective: April 28, 2026

1. What We Collect

Calyber collects the following categories of data when you create an account and use the service:

  • Account data — email address, name, and authentication identifiers provided via Clerk.
  • Training data — mesocycle configurations, planned exercises, set logs (weight, reps, RIR), exercise feedback, and autoregulation outputs you generate during use.
  • Subscription data — subscription tier, trial start date, founding member status, and Stripe customer identifier. Payment card details are never transmitted to or stored by Calyber — they are handled entirely by Stripe.
  • Email metadata — a normalized form of your email address is stored for trial integrity purposes (see Section 5).
  • Usage data — standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages visited. Retained for up to 90 days.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • Provide and operate the Calyber training service.
  • Apply autoregulation and progression algorithms to your training history.
  • Manage your subscription status and communicate billing events.
  • Detect and prevent trial abuse (see Section 5).
  • Respond to support requests.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your training data to train AI models for third parties.

3. Authentication — Clerk

Authentication is handled by Clerk, Inc. When you sign in or create an account, Clerk processes your credentials and issues a session token. Calyber receives your Clerk user ID and, via webhook, your email address and name. Clerk's privacy policy governs their handling of authentication data: clerk.com/legal/privacy.

4. Payment Processing — Stripe

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. When you subscribe, you are redirected to a Stripe-hosted checkout page. Calyber never receives or stores your payment card details. Stripe returns a customer identifier and subscription status, which Calyber stores to manage your access tier.

Stripe's privacy policy governs their handling of payment data: stripe.com/privacy.

5. Trial Integrity

To maintain the integrity of the 28-day free trial, Calyber stores a normalized form of your email address (for example, stripping subaddress tags and resolving provider aliases). This normalized address is used solely to detect duplicate trial registrations. Accounts identified as using a previously trialed email address may have their trial access restricted.

Email domains associated with disposable or temporary address services are flagged for internal review. Flagging alone does not block account creation.

6. Data Retention

Your training data and account data are retained for the duration of your account. If you close your account, your data is deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Stripe retains payment records as required by applicable financial regulations. Calyber has no control over Stripe's retention policies.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at hello@calyber.app. Requests will be processed within 30 days.

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have additional rights under GDPR/UK GDPR, including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated by email to active subscribers at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
